What: Resealing the road

Where: SH7 in Culverden from Lyndon St to just past the golf course

When: For one day between 18 - 24 January 2018

What we are doing

We will be resealing a section of SH7 in Culverden between Lyndon Street and the end of the golf course (see map 1). Resealing involves applying layers of bitumen and chip to the existing road surface to weatherproof it and improve surface grip.

The work will take one day to complete. We expect to start on 18 January 2018; however, depending on the weather and other factors we may start the week after. We will seal entranceways in the road reserve that are within our worksite and we will seal approximately 10m down side roads (Lyndon Street and St Leonards Road).

Traffic impacts

Traffic will be controlled by stop/go operators and the speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h. We will need to remove on street parking within the work site. Lyndon Street and St Leonards Road will remain open while we do the work as will entranceways to properties and businesses. Please follow the directions of the site traffic management supervisor and/or stop/go operators.

General Information

  • Safety is our number one priorty. Safety is your responsibility too. Please drive to the posted speed limit.
  • Chip may continue to come loose for about a month after the work. Expect to see loose chip around.
