Where: Dyers Rd (SH74) between Linwood Ave and just south of Palinurus Rd

When: Now starting on Monday 14 May from 7pm to 6am for two nights

What we are doing

In March, SouthernLink got in touch to advise about some asphalt work we were planning to do on Dyers Road. The work was delayed until 9 May. The work has been delayed again until Monday 14 May.

We will be working at night (7pm to 6am) from 7pm Monday 14 May to 6am Wednesday morning 16 May. We will be laying a new road surface on both lanes of Dyers Road (SH74) in three sections between Linwood Avenue and Ferry Road (see map 1 to the right). We will also repair a failing section of road at the intersection of Dyers Road and Palinurus Road (SH74A). Minor works may take place during the week following asphalting .

Traffic impacts

For most of the work, traffic will be one lane and controlled by stop/go operators from just north of Ti Rakau Drive, including the intersection, to south of Palinarus Road, including the intersection. Please expect some delays. When we are working on the section between Linwood Ave and Ti Rakau Drive we will be able to maintain two lanes of traffic, one in each direction. Left turns from Dyers Road into Linwood Ave will not be available for a short time while we do this section.
