Allow extra time for SH23 road rebuild near Greenslade Road, Raglan

Work to rebuild part of State Highway 23 (SH23) near Greenslade Road, Raglan, will begin on Monday 5 October.
We’ll first improve the road shoulder and drainage, then remove and rebuild the existing road layers to create a stronger road surface. We expect to complete the work by 5pm on Friday 18 December, weather permitting.
From Monday 5 October: Shoulder and drainage work will take place between 8.30am and 5pm each day for about 5 weeks. Stop/go traffic management will operate during work hours and may also be required overnight. This work will be completed Monday to Friday and some Saturday’s.
From Monday 9 November: We’ll remove and rebuild the existing road layers. Stop/go traffic management will be in place 24 hours a day during this stage.
Road users should plan ahead and allow up to 10 minutes extra for their journey through the site.
A temporary speed limit of 30km/h will be in place through the work area and will remain outside work hours.
Road users should follow the temporary speed limit and directions from traffic management staff.
The work is weather dependent and dates may change if conditions are unsuitable.
