A crash this morning has closed part of State Highway 98/Lorne-Dacre Road in Southland.

SH98//Lorne-Dacre Road is closed between Mill Road North and Kennington Roslyn Bush Road intersections. Emergency services are attending after the crash resulted in a power pole being brought down.

Road users are urged to use the available detour: eastbound traffic should turn right onto Mill Road North, left onto Myross Road, then left onto Kennington Roslyn Bush Road, then right back onto State Highway 98. The reverse applies for westbound traffic.
