State Highway 99 is closed near Wallacetown in Southland tonight after a serious crash.

Emergency services are attending the crash on SH99/Riverton-Wallacetown Highway, near Price Road. The highway is closed from Cumnock Street in Wallacetown, to Taramoa Road.

People are asked to avoid the area or delay their journeys.
