Damaged flexible median barrier to be repaired at Manawatū Bridge (Whirokino)

Roading crews will be repairing damaged flexible median barrier at Manawatū Bridge (Whirokino) on State Highway 1 near Foxton this Sunday night (10 August).
The southbound lane will be closed between 7pm and 6am while crews carry out the repairs.
Work will be complete and the bridge back to two lanes at 6am on Monday 11 August.
The northbound lane will remain open during this time.
A detour will be in place for southbound road users. Motorists will be detoured down Foxton Shannon Road to State Highway 57 in Shannon to Queen Street East, and back to State Highway 1 in Levin. Detour signage will be in place.
The detour is expected to add 10-15 minutes to travel times.
A 30 km/h temporary speed limit will be in place for northbound vehicles.
