A stretch of State Highway 3’s northbound lane at Waitara will be closed overnight on Sunday (7 December) to repair broken sections of flexible median barrier.

The road, between Nelson Street and Bayly Street, will be closed between 7pm and 6am.

All northbound traffic will be detoured via Nelson, McLean, North, Richmond, Princess and Bayly Streets before rejoining SH3. 

The detour is expected to add approximately 5 minutes to journey times.

The southbound lane will remain open as normal.

During this closure, crews will be repairing damaged flexible median barrier.

Emergency services will always be assisted through the site if required.
