NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is advising road users to expect delays on State Highway 1 at Rangitata Bridge No. 2, between Edgar Road and Rangitata Island Road, on Wednesday 28 October. This section of the highway will be reduced to a single lane with Stop/Go traffic management control in place from 6am to 7pm.

Delays of up to 20 minutes are expected. People are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel. The lane closure is needed to allow contractors to complete investigation and preparation work ahead of planned resurfacing of the asphalt bridge deck later in November.
