The State Highway 1 (SH1) Bairds Road (local road) overbridge will be closed overnight from Monday 2 to Thursday 5 March for the replacement of a bridge joint on the overbridge.
While the team are working between 9pm and 5am there will be a full closure in both directions on the overbridge and the following detours will be in place
- Traffic travelling eastbound across the overbridge will be detoured via Great South Road, East Tamaki Road and Ōtara Road.

The detours will add approximately 10 minutes to journeys.
Vehicles travelling under the bridge on SH1 will not be affected.
