A stretch of State Highway 75/Tai Tapu Road, south of Christchurch, is closed tonight because of a fallen tree on the road.

SH75/Tai Tapu Road is closed between Golf Links Road and Old Tai Tapu Road as roading crews look to remove the large tree that has blocked the road. 

A detour is available for road users travelling in the area: Southbound traffic should turn left onto Golf Links Road, right onto Old Tai Tapu Road, then left back onto SH75/Tai Tapu Road. The reverse applies for northbound traffic.
