Ramp closures and nightworks are planned for State Highway 1 Johnsonville, and there will also be roundabout repairs and night closures at State Highway 1 Tawa.

Nightworks for a road rebuild and drainage works will be underway at State Highway 1 Kuku from this Sunday, and a one-night closure is scheduled for State Highway 58 next month for maintenance works

Top of the South Island

Recovery works are underway at multiple sites across the top of the South Island. Latest details and locations have been updated

Tree removal work will be done on State Highway 60 Tākaka Hill at the Drummond’s slip site from on Monday to Friday next week. Hours of work are 7 am to 5 pm. Drivers can expect stop/go traffic management and intermittent delays at this site while trees are  felled and removed. There are five other weather damage sites on the route and drivers should allow for extra travel time when travelling over the Tākaka Hill.
