The Wellington Transport Alliance will carry out resurfacing and maintenance works on State Highway 58 from Paremata roundabout to James Cook Drive, Sunday, 2 November.

Road crews will resurface the Postgate Road roundabout and carry out routine drainage and vegetation maintenance.
  
This work will require a full road closure to take place between Paremata roundabout and James Cook Drive, and is scheduled for Sunday night, 2 November, between 9 pm and 4 am.

Local road detours will be available (see map below) but will require extra travel time.

Access will be available for emergency services and affected residents.

Residents in the closure zone can liaise with traffic management crews for access. They must follow directions from contractors and maintain a 30 km/h temporary speed limit in the works area. This helps ensure work crews are kept safe.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption for drivers and residents. The work has been scheduled for night-time when traffic volumes are lower, and efforts will be made to limit construction noise.

Drivers are asked to observe all traffic management in place and follow all temporary and local road speed limits while these works are completed.
