Regular users of State Highway 59 in Porirua need to be ready for upcoming night closures of the Mungavin Avenue southbound on-ramp.

The on-ramp will be closed to southbound traffic on Sunday and Monday nights (10 and 11 August), between 9 pm and 4:30 am for pavement repairs.

This is a well-used on-ramp, and it is essential the road surface is regularly maintained.

The paving repairs will affect drivers leaving Cannon Creek heading for Linden and State Highway 1.

The work has been deliberately timed to be done at night to minimise disruption for the public. However, drivers can expect longer travel times due to the detour needed to access State Highway 1.

They will need to detour via Titahi Bay Road, Kenepuru Drive, Kenepuru Link Road, and then enter onto State Highway 1. Please allow for extra time for your journeys.
