A planned night closure for State Highway 2 Remutaka Hill this Sunday night has been cancelled.

This is because there is not enough maintenance work needed to justify a closure.

Instead, the planned works will be done during the next scheduled closure on Sunday, 19 July.

It means the route will be open to all traffic this Sunday night (14 June).

Regular users of the route are encouraged to plan ahead for upcoming night closures, with the schedule now confirmed for the second half of this year.
