State Highway 1/Carters Road at Amberley in North Canterbury is closed to northbound traffic following a vehicle crash.

The northbound lane closure is between Douglas Road and Bank Street. The southbound lane remains open, but road users are asked to stop on request, allowing heavy vehicles through northbound. Delays should be expected.

A detour is available for northbound traffic. Turn left onto Bank Street, right onto Church Street, right onto Douglas Road then turn left onto State Highway 1. This detour is not suitable for heavy vehicles.
