Raft of drainage improvements planned for SH3 Taranaki

Drivers on State Highway 3 travelling between New Plymouth and Stratford will notice a raft of drainage work happening on the state highway next week.

Next week, work will take place in four locations on SH3, between Burgess Park and Midhirst.

The work will maintain and improve drainage along this section of SH3, helping protect the road and keep it in good condition.

This work will be carried out under stop/go traffic management and shoulder closures with delays of between 5 and 15 minutes.

SH3 Norfolk between Dudley Road Upper and Norfolk Road Upper

Crews will be working on this stretch of SH3 on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 August, weather permitting.

Work will take place between 8am and 5pm each day.

In the event of unsuitable weather, work will be postponed to the next suitable day.

SH3 Junction Road between Welbourn Terrace and Junction Street

Crews will be working on this stretch of SH3 next Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August, weather permitting.

Work will take place between 4am and 4pm each day.

In the event of unsuitable weather, work will be postponed to the next suitable day.

SH3 at Burgess Park between Holly Oak Terrace and Egmont Road

Crews will be working on this stretch of SH3 next Friday 21 and Monday 24 August.

Work will take place between 8am and 5pm each day.

In the event of unsuitable weather, work will be postponed to the next suitable day.

SH3 at Midhirst between Egmont Street and Monmouth Road

Crews will be working on this stretch of SH3 between Tuesday 25 August and Monday 31 August, weather permitting.

Work will take place Monday to Saturday, between 8am and 5pm each day.

In the event of unsuitable weather, work will be postponed to the next suitable day.
