NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) reminds drivers that from today the roads around Mystery Creek will be heavily congested until Sunday 15 of June, due to the National Fieldays event. 

A northeast bound closure of State Highway 21 will be in place, between Airport Road and Raynes Road from 7am to 10am and then again from 4pm to 6pm to reduce tailbacks. 

Tamahere Interchange will also be closed between 6am and 11am. Motorists are advised to use State Highway 3 as an alternative route. 

Motorists using State Highway 1 and Tamahere Interchange are advised that they will experience queues and gridlock traffic in this area, likely until Monday 16 June.

Alternative routes and travel arrangements should be considered for motorists travelling in and around the entire west Waikato state highway network.
