State Highway 2 south of Te Karaka has reopened following this morning’s crash.

The road is clear but please drive to conditions and take your time through the area.

A stretch of State Highway 2 south of Te Karaka will remain closed for several hours, following a serious crash earlier this morning.

The road is closed between Te Karaka and Lavenham Road and will remain closed until further notice. 

Crews are currently on site and Police SCU will also be attending. 

Please avoid the area and drive with caution if you're traveling north or south of the closure.
