State Highway 60 is now fully open to traffic following this afternoon’s serious crash.
NZTA/Waka Kotahi thanks drivers for their patience and cooperation while this incident was being resolved.

The northbound lane (to Motueka) of State Highway 60 has reopened to traffic at the crash site. The southbound lane (Richmond bound) remains CLOSED. Southbound traffic must continue to detour via Lansdowne Road and Lower Queen Street,

State Highway 60 is now closed between Swamp Road and the intersection with State Highway 6 as emergency services attend this incident.
Local road detours are available via Landsdowne Road and Lower Queen Street.
State Highway 60 can be expected to remain closed for several hours while Police investigate the incident and the crash scene is cleared.
Road users are asked to avoid the area and use the recommended detour. Travel delays can be expected.
