State Highways in Northland have reopened following impacts from heavy rain yesterday.
State Highway 1 Brynderwyn Hills is open to two lanes of traffic currently – but will be reduced to one lane for tree removal works between 11am and 3pm today. Stop/go will be in operation the majority of the time, however short 15 minute periods of stop/stop will be required while trees are dropped. People should expect extended delays through the Brynderwyn Hills during this period.
On State Highway 11 – flooding has now receded and the highway has fully reopened to traffic at Kawakawa – Opua.
