State Highway 1, near the Buchanans Road intersection, in the Christchurch suburb of Hei Hei, has reopened following a closure due to a house fire.

Road users are asked to drive with care through the area.

A fire has caused the closure of State Highway 1, near the Buchanans Road intersection, in the Christchurch suburb of Hei Hei. 

Road users are advised to follow the directions of emergency services or avoid the area if possible.

The road is expected to be reopened soon.
