There are detours and traffic changes coming up for the Whangārei District Council's Springs Flat Roundabout project in Te Kamo. 

From 7pm Thursday 15 October to 5am Tuesday 20 October, a major construction programme will be carried out to complete service work and central island construction.

During this time, northbound State Highway 1 (SH1) traffic will be detoured via Springs Flat Road and Great North Road before rejoining SH1. Southbound traffic will continue on SH1 through the work site in a single managed lane. Temporary traffic management will be in place throughout the works.

Road users should allow extra travel time and follow all signage and directions from traffic management staff. Normal traffic movements are expected to resume from 6am on Tuesday 20 October.
