A stretch of State Highway 51 near Awatoto has reopened following a truck crash this morning.

The crash happened on the northbound lane however the southbound lane also closed while the truck was removed from the road and damaged flexible median barrier was repaired.

The road has now reopened.

Please drive to the conditions and expect some delays as traffic congestion eases.
