State Highway 6/Winton-Lorneville Highway near Lochiel, north of Invercargill, has reopened. The section of SH6 between Wilsons Crossing Road and Lochiel-Branxholme Road was closed following a vehicle crash earlier this evening. With police’s Serious Crash Unit having completed their work at the site, the road is now clear

A vehicle crash has resulted in the closure of State Highway 6/Winton-Lorneville Highway near Lochiel, north of Invercargill, this evening. Emergency services are the scene of the crash and SH6 has been closed between Wilsons Crossing Road and Lochiel-Branxholme Road. Road users are advised to avoid the area or delay their journeys if possible.
