State Highway 76/Port Hills Road in Christchurch has reopened after a crash earlier this evening.

Emergency services attended after the two-car crash near the intersection with Chapmans Road, and downed power lines at the site have been made safe.

While the site is now clear, people are asked to travel with care on this route.
