State Highway 8/Omarama-Lindis Pass Road, between Omarama and Tarras, has reopened following a fatal crash this afternoon.

People are asked to drive with care through the area.

2.10pm – SH8 closed between Omarama and Tarras

State Highway 8/Omarama-Lindis Pass Road is now closed between Omarama and Tarras, following a crash.

1.20pm – Crash closes SH8 near Lindis Pass

Road users are being urged to avoid State Highway 8/Omarama-Lindis Pass Road after a crash that is blocking the road.

SH8/Omarama-Lindis Pass Road is now closed near Dromedary Hill Track. If people are already in the area, they are advised to use an alternative route.

Police were called to a two-vehicle crash around 12.20pm, and say that initial indicators are that there are injuries.
