State Highway 8 at Shingle Creek has reopened after a serious vehicle crash.

Road users should drive with care through the area.

Update 8:15am – Crash closes SH8 in Central Otago

A vehicle crash this morning has closed State Highway 8 at Shingle Creek in Central Otago.

The highway south of Waikaia Bush Road is closed after emergency services were called to the site. Road users travelling in the area should follow the direction of emergency services.

An update will be provided when the status of the road changes.
