Drivers travelling on State Highway 58 should plan ahead for four nights of resurfacing works next week.

As part of ongoing work on the State Highway 58 safety improvements project, contractors will build up sections of the road surface in preparation for laying the final pavement layer.

The work will be done over Monday to Thursday nights, between 7 pm and 5:30 am.

Stop/go traffic management will be in place while crews carry out resurfacing work at the new Moonshine Road roundabout.

In addition, there will also be ongoing works happening near Flightys/Murphys roads, as well as on the adjacent highway during the day. These works will affect traffic flows.

Drivers should allow extra time for their journeys, follow all temporary traffic management, observe all temporary speed limits in place, and take care around road crews and equipment.

The work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if wet weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur. Drivers should check the latest road conditions before travelling.

Works schedule:

• Monday, 21 September to Thursday, 24 September. Monday – Thursday nights, 7 pm - 5:30 am
