A stretch of State Highway 2 in Central Hawke’s Bay has now reopened after an early morning crash between Waipukurau and Takapau.

State Highway 2 had been closed between Fraser Road and Maharakeke Road and a detour was in place.

The road is now clear and has been reopened.
