A stretch of State Highway 2 between Tūtira and Pūtōrino this evening from 8pm while crews recover a crashed vehicle.

The truck and trailer unit crashed earlier today, but did not block the road.

The road needs to be closed for crews to safely recover the truck and move it from site.

This stretch of SH2 will be closed from 8pm while the recovery takes place. We anticipate the road will reopen around 11pm.
