NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is advising drivers that a temporary speed limit of 30km/h is in place on SH15 Titoki (near Maungatapere) at the Titoki Bridge from today (11 July 2025).

The temporary speed limit has been put in place in order to reduce stress on the bridge structure and ensure that it remains safe for use following the identification of a structural issue during a recent bridge inspection. The speed restriction will remain in place while a long-term solution is investigated.

Temporary signage has been installed on either side of the bridge.

The impact of the speed restriction on journey times is not expected to be significant.

NZTA thanks road users for their patience, and urges everyone to comply with the temporary speed limit over the bridge while it remains in place.
