NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is advising motorists of upcoming night works on State Highway 2, between Mathers Road and Old Tauranga Road, in the Athenree Gorge, starting Monday 18 August and continuing for 4 nights.

Work will take place between 7.30pm and 5am each night. There will be stop/go traffic management with a 30km/h temporary speed limit. Minor delays should be expected.

Crews will be laying new asphalt under the central median safety barrier.

Drivers are asked to take care through the worksite and follow all signage and instructions from traffic management staff.
