Road users can expect delays while night-time road surface maintenance is carried out on State Highway 16 (SH16) eastbound between Patiki Road and Great North Road near Waterview.

The works will take place over multiple nights between 18 and 27 May from 9pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursdays.

When the closure is in place, the detour is as follows:

• Traffic travelling from Patiki Road to SH16 Waterview eastbound: Please detour via Patiki Road, Rosebank Road, Ash Street and Great North Road.  
• Traffic travelling from SH16 to SH20 eastbound: Please detour via Patiki Road, Rosebank Road, Rosebank Road, Blockhouse Bay Road, Tiverton Road and Maioro Street.

Nearby properties may experience increased noise levels while the team complete the work.

These works are weather dependent and may change from the advertised dates. A contingency shift has been scheduled for Thursday 28 May.
