People travelling northbound on State Highway 2 (SH2) Maunganui Road are advised to plan ahead for overnight works on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August, between 8pm and 5am each night.

During this time, the northbound lane on Maunganui Road will be closed in one direction between Girven Road (Bayfair) and the Golf Road roundabout.

Northbound traffic will be detoured via the Hewletts Road flyover, turning right into Aerodrome Road, then continuing along Newton Street and Hull Road before rejoining Maunganui Road. The Hewletts Road flyover will remain open in both directions throughout the work.

People should allow extra time for their journey, follow the signposted detour, and take care when travelling through the area.
