Following crashes this morning that blocked lanes, State Highway 1 is now fully clear and traffic is flowing again on the Kaiapoi River Bridge.

People are reminded to take care when travelling on the highway.

6.45am – Crashes block lanes of SH1 at Kaiapoi

Road users should expect delays this morning after crashes which have blocked lanes on the Kaiapoi River Bridge on State Highway 1.

One northbound lane and one southbound lane are affected.
