State Highway 2 has reopened to southbound traffic following a crash earlier this morning near the intersection of Owen Street.

While the highway is open in both directions, some delays may continue while queued traffic clears. Drivers are asked to take care when travelling through the area.

Drivers traveling on State Highway 2 through the Hutt Valley are warned to expect delays and disruption while emergency services respond to a crash near Belmont.

The incident, near the Owen Street intersection, was reported at around 10:15 am.

State Highway 2 is currently closed to southbound traffic at the crash site. The highway remains open to northbound traffic.
