1.15pm – Road clear again one SH8 crash, restriction for another

State Highway 8/Timaru-Pleasant Point Highway in South Canterbury is clear again after a crash at the intersection with Arowhenua Road.

Road users are asked to travel with care on this route.

Those travelling in South Canterbury should also be aware of traffic restrictions that remain after a separate crash further along SH8, in the Burkes Pass area near the intersection of Haldon Road. Stop/go traffic management is in place where road users will need required to stop on demand. This is expected to remain in place for only about two more hours.

Traffic is being impacted after a crash on State Highway 8/Timaru-Pleasant Point Highway in South Canterbury this morning.

Emergency services are attending the crash at the intersection with Arowhenua Road.
