2.05pm – SH1/Dunedin Southern Motorway reopened

State Highway 1/Dunedin Southern Motorway at Burnside has reopened after a crash this morning left a digger stuck on the road.

The site is now cleared and both northbound and southbound lanes are open, but people are asked to travel with care in the area while congestion eases.  

11.30am – Crash closes SH1/Dunedin Southern Motorway

A crash involving a digger has closed State Highway 1/Dunedin Southern Motorway between Mornington Road and Kaikorai Valley Road off-ramp.

Road users are asked to avoid the area, delay their journeys or use alternative routes.
