State Highway 36 has now re-opened in both directions.

2:34pm – SH36 at Kaharoa between Tauranga and Rotorua closed due to crash
Due to a crash, State Highway 36 is closed in both directions south of Roy Road at the one-way bridge.
Road users are urged to avoid this area if possible or allow plenty of extra time for a long detour via State Highway 33.
