A closure following a serious crash on State Highway 8/Lindis Pass-Tarras Road in the Lindis Valley has been extended to between Omarama and Tarras.

At the crash site, road users should follow the directions of emergency services; otherwise, people are encouraged to delay their travel or to take an alternative route.

4pm – SH8 Lindis Valley closed by serious crash

State Highway 8 in the Lindis Valley in Central Otago is closed this afternoon after a serious crash.

SH8/Lindis Pass-Tarras Road is closed between Cluden Creek Road and Phillips Road.

People are asked to delay their journeys or use an alternative route.
