2:30pm – Warnings about serious crash on SH8

Road users are being advised to avoid State Highway 8 between Omarama and Twizel, in South Canterbury, after a serious crash.

The crash happened earlier this afternoon near the intersection of SH8/Twizel-Omarama Road and Lake Ohau Road. Emergency services are at the site dealing with the crash.

People are asked to avoid the area, or delay their travel through the area, while the incident is still underway.
