UPDATE: Truck crash closes State Highway 6 near Murchison (SH6 OPEN)

State Highway 6 has reopened near Murchison follow a truck crash earlier this morning.

Drivers are asked to take care at the crash site. Some delays can be expected as queued traffic clears.


UPDATE 12:15 pm

State Highway 6 remains closed near Murchison following a truck crash this morning.

A heavy vehicle tow is being sent to the crash scene to recover and move the truck, but it will take several hours to arrive.

This means the highway remains closed until further notice and a precise time for its reopening is not available

In the meantime, drivers are asked to delay their travel or use an alternative route.

10.15am:

People travelling between Murchison and the West Coast, and Springs Junction are warned of a highway closure and travel delays.

It follows a truck crash near Dellows Bluff this morning. The incident was reported around 9 am. The truck is currently blocking both lanes of the highway.

State Highway 6 is now closed and there is no access between Murchison and the West Coast, or between Murchison and Springs Junction.

No suitable local road detours are available. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and delay their travel until the crash is cleared and the highway is reopened.
