Work on SH30 west of Awakeri has been extended by 1 day until Friday 9 October between 8am and 5pm. 

Work started on Tuesday to chipseal approximately 3km of chipseal sites.

The work sites are between Maunder Road and Western Drain Road. SH30 will be closed to eastbound traffic during the work. All eastbound traffic will be detoured via SH34 Otakiri and SH2 Edgecumbe. 

Westbound traffic can continue through the worksite under stop/go traffic management and a reduced speed limit.
