You will need to take extra care when travelling in winter. Rain, frost, snow, ice, floods and slips are all relatively common on our roads around New Zealand during the winter months.
Remember to always drive to the conditions, and allow greater following distances on frosty and wet days. Be prepared for any delays – dress for the conditions, have warm blankets, bottled water and emergency rations in your vehicle.
